Mangalore: Chess Association of India to Organize South Zone Chess Tournament

Mangalore, Oct 8: King’s Academy on behalf of Karnataka State Chess Association, under the aegis of Chess Association of India will organize Rs two lac prize money CAI Rated South Zone Chess Tournament from Monday October 10 to October 14 at Srinivasa Kalyan Mantap, V T Road, here.

The tournament winner will be awarded Rs 25,000 cash prize along with ‘Panama Trophy’. Top 50 players will be awarded cash prizes. Apart from main prizes, cash prizes will be also awarded to age groups, women and veteran categories.

The event is co-sponsored by Panama Group, Mangalore.

Players from Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Pondichery are eligible to participate.

    what is all india chess association?ms dcunha ..?all india chess assocation is not a legal body .they dint even maintain accounts , the elections were illigal .. mangalore they have organised event with 2 lac prize fund and the entry fees was 4000. the state affiliate ukca is charged for criminal offences . .. this is a player friendly body with best players playing around ..let them ban me, i m goin to play
