Mangaluru, Apr 18: As the students step forward in their career path, suitable training and guidance play a prominent role in shaping their personality and in preparing them to face the competitive world with confidence. In this context, a career guidance programme ‘Journey from Campus to Corporate’ was organized on April 17 at Government First Grade College, Kavoor jointly by the placement cell, Vidyarthi Parishad and department of commerce and management in collaboration with Lions Club Phalguni, Mangaluru.
The resource person Prof Ronald Pinto, director, Institute for Individual Development, Mangaluru gave an insight into the importance of academic excellence and employability skills. He also analyzed the differences between campus life and corporate life. He also gave a brief outline about CV writing and how to face interviews.
The guest of honour Lokesh Kotian, former president Lions Club, Phalguni, Mangaluru gave his message to the students. The principal of the college Dr Geetha M L gave her presidential remarks. Dr Santhosh Pinto student welfare officer welcomed the gathering, Dr Therese Pereira introduced the resource person and Mamatha U coordinator, placement cell proposed vote of thanks. Anusha III BA eloquently compered the programme.
