"The student council in an educational institute serves as the voice of the student body, advocating for their needs, concerns, and interests. It bridges the gap between the students and the administration, ensuring that student perspectives are considered in decision-making processes. The student council provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making. These skills, especially, for teacher-trainees, are invaluable for their personal growth and future success in various aspects of their professional life and it also helps them to inculcate desirable qualities like confidence, integrity, and responsibility to effectively manage their classrooms and to assume any responsibility in their school in the future" he said and wished the students council 2024-25 may help in promoting a sense of belonging, and fostering a positive and inclusive culture among the trainee teachers.
