Dubai: Billawa Balaga Dubai & Mahila Balaga Conduct Blood Donation Camp

Dubai, Oct 9: Billawa Balaga Dubai and Mahila Balaga successfully conducted a blood donation campaign at Al Wasl Hospital here on Friday October 7 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Enthusiastic donors poured in great numbers from various parts of UAE for the great cause.

Organizers welcomed the community members who voluntarily came in large numbers including
prominent members of other associations who also volunteered to donate blood. The members along with hospital authorities were busy welcoming donors and filling up the required forms, examining blood samples and getting ready for the extraction of blood all with smiles on their faces. They were issued a ‘donor card’ exclusively as a proof of their support.

The campaign started with Billawa Balaga Ex president  Ashok Anchan, founder  Sudhakar Thumbe himself donating blood with other members. Some of the other prominent associations who have been sucessfully doing these types of blood donation campaigns attended and supported the Billawa Balaga team.


Billawa Balaga blood donation campaign was given a boost with the support and participation
of some of the prominent community leaders like Ganesh Rai Ex-President of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, Balakrishna Salian, Vice-president of Mogaveers UAE, Sudhakar Alva of UAE Bunts, Harish Kodi of Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada Gowda Samaja Dubai, Ravi B. Shettigar, president of Padmashali UAE,  Ajith Nayak president of Amichigele Samaj , general secretary  Gopal Prabhu ,  Anil Kamat , Ref from Bari welfare association Anwar Hussain, Ansar Hussain and also Ashok Belman of Gulf Kannadiga and many other prominent various community members of Karnataka attended and supported the team.

The programme under the leadership of president  Chandrashekar, Sudhir Sanil, Ex president Ashok Anchan, founder Sudhakar Thumbe and Daya Kirodian, Ex Secretary of  Madhav Hejamadi, Event manager  Santosh Suvarna, Sachin Raj Bangera, Secretary Ashok Bailur, Vice Secretary Bhaskar R. poojary N.B. Kunder, Sudhir Kotian.

Secretary Ashok Bailur thanked everyone who supported this event for chariting a good cause. Organizers distributed fruits, juice and water to all the donors present during the campaign.

    Congratulations to Billawa Balaga Dubai, and whole team for conducting successful blood donation camp for noble cause , A Big Thanks to Mr. Ashok Anchan, and His Team n, One n all who Donated Blood for the Children Suffering from Rare Disease Thalassemia.
    One Donor's Blood (450ml)can save 3 to 4 children suffering from Thalassemia So,I here by Request all the Association to Come Forward for the Good Cause,( The Gift of Life ). I take this opportunity to thank different organizations and their eminent personalities for taking time and attending this noble cause.     You don't need to have a medical or Eng degree to save a life just a fair degree of humanity GIVE BLOOD , SAVE LIFE DO NOT SHED BLOOD DONATE IT & UNITE UNDER 1 ORGANISATION.

    It was a pleasant experience to participate in the Blood Donation camp organized by Billavas youth. The mood was festive and well organized. Congratulations to all team, all the donors and well wishers of several organizations for participating and sponsoring such a worthy cause. There is a practice not to thank to blood donors as this is considered as duty which we all should render. GOD BLESS ALL TEAM OF BILLAWA BALAGA DUBAI.
