Bantwal, Apr 20: “BJP and JD(S) have formed an alliance. They are sure to win all the seats in the state. Nobody can stop their victory in all the 28 seats in the state,” said state BJP president BY Vijayendra. He was speaking during the election campaign meeting held at Sri Narayana Guru Mandira, Ganadapadpu, BC Road on Saturday, April 20.
He further said, "No one can stop Narendra Modi from becoming the prime minister at the centre again. I am confident that Capt Brijesh Chowta who has Hindutva blood will win in Dakshina Kannada district by a margin of more than three lac votes.
"Narendra Modi, who does not rest even for a minute and thinks about the country relentlessly and does as he says, has become great in the world. The love and confidence of Modi across the ages of people are rising in the country. Leaders of other political parties are joining the BJP voluntarily due to trust in him.
"The Congress is protecting anti-nationals who shout slogans for Pakistan in Vidhana Sabha and the people are anxious. There is anguish over the statements by the chief minister and the home minister about the Hubballi incident. If the murder was for personal reasons, is it alright if anybody kills anybody? This is an indirect appeasement of minorities as a policy by Congress party in the state. Such a Congress mentality of protecting killers at every stage has increased crimes in the state. There is fear among people if their female children who go out of the house return home safely. There is an indivisible bond between Yediyurappa and the undivided Dakshina Kannada district. Those belonging to the district do not need to learn the lessons of Hindutva. The BJP is not against minorities. But the state government has caused instability by protecting those who commit wrong,” he said.
Lok Sabha candidate Capt Brijesh Chowta said that the current elections are special in independent India. "The way Narendra Modi nurtured India during the last ten years was amazing. Modi has done away with the atmosphere of bribery and created an environment of freedom. He has used our determination and built a glorious Rama Mandir at Ayodhya. The struggle against the mentality of anti-nationalism will be relentless. Convey the message of the BJP to every house till the elections on April 26. Let there be no doubt that BJP will win all the 28 seats in the state under the leadership of Vijayendra. I will work sincerely to reciprocate your trust in me, he said.
MLA Rajesh Naik said that the election is for the security of the nation for the next generation. "Make the BJP win in the election of changes. Cast more votes to Capt Brijesh Chowta than those cast to me to be the MLA,” he said.
Former minister B Nagaraj Shetty said that murders and crimes have increased in the state due to the misrule of the Congress party. "The Congress is trying to divide in the name of religion. The plans of the opponents will not work in front of the strength of party workers,” he said.
Former MLA A Rukmaya Poojary said that the current elections are on national level and important. "The Narendra Modi-led government has done more development than expected during the last ten years. Modi needs to be the prime minister again for the new India of the future,” he said.
