Mangaluru: Dharma Jyothi Social Centre holds summer camp

Mangaluru, Apr 23: Dharma Jyothi Social Centre opened its doors to a vibrant summer camp, catering to the beneficiaries from the local communities from April 16 to 23.

Renita was the resource person. Along with the participation of MSW students of Dayananda Pai and M V Shetty College the camp aimed to impart crucial lessons on child safety while infusing joy through engaging activities.

Utilized video clips to illustrate the concepts of 'good touch' and 'bad touch'. Through interactive discussions and engaging visuals, also raise awareness of social media and shed light on the pressing issue of human trafficking, children were empowered with knowledge about personal boundaries and safe interactions.

Action songs were taught for creating an atmosphere of fun and learning. The event unfolded under the watchful eye of Sr Joel Lasrado SRA, Coordinator of the Centre extended generosity in providing school bags, books, stationery and umbrella to the 337 children. The camp concluded with meal. The parents and the children were grateful towards the gesture.
