Mangaluru: St Ann’s College of Education (Autonomous) inaugurates BEd programme

Mangaluru, Apr 24: St Ann’s College of Education (Autonomous), Mangaluru, formally inaugurated the BEd programme for the academic year 2023-2025 on April 23.

Dr Farita Viegas, principal, St Aloysius Institute of Education, Mangaluru was the chief guest. The programme began with an invocation though a prayer service. Programme was symbolically inaugurated by lighting the diya. The oath taking ceremony of the college cabinet was held. Principal, Dr Sr Dorothy D’Souza AC administered the oath. With hands raised in solemn commitment, the cabinet pledged to uphold the values of integrity, service, and leadership, thus embarking on their journey with a sense of duty and honour. On this joyful occasion, the first year B.Ed students displayed their talents through a vibrant cultural programme. Through a thought-provoking skit, enchanting songs and by a mesmerizing dance performance, they showcased their talents and creativity, fostering a sense of joy.

Chief guest Dr Farita Viegas in her inaugural address, highlighted the essence of leadership and pivotal role of teachers in the classroom. She urged students to become servant leaders and work for the betterment of the institution and nation.

Dr Sr Dorothy D’Souza AC, principal, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Manjula Hadapada compered the programme. Rishel D’Almeida proposed the vote of thanks. Dr Laveena D’Sa coordinated the programme. Staff, B.Ed and M.Ed students were present for the same.
