Udupi: New leadership announced for YCS YSM Karnataka regional team

Udupi, Apr 25: The recent second YCS YSM regional convention held in Bengaluru from April 19 to 21 marked a significant milestone for the youth leadership in the region. Several new leaders were elected from the Diocese of Udupi to serve in key roles within the regional office.

Jiya Antonia Cutinho, hailing from St Dominic Church, Miyar, has been appointed as the Regional Cultural and Liturgical secretary. Jiya brings with her a vibrant spirit and a history of dedicated service, having previously served as the YouCat incharge in her unit. She is the daughter of Jerald Cutinho and Jeneviv Cutinho from Miyar.

Joining Jiya is Flavian Mendonca, who was elected as a member of the regional YCS YSM team. Flavian, proud son of  Francis Mendonca and Maria Mendonca from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kanajar, has demonstrated his commitment to youth ministry by serving as the YouCat Iincharge in the Udupi Diocesan team during 2023-24.

The regional team also bids farewell to Vance Rion D'Souza, who successfully completed his term as the Regional YCS YSM vice president. Vance, from Christ Church, Manipal, has been a pillar of leadership and dedication from 2021-24. He is the son of Valerian D'Souza and Rayan D'Souza.

Evisha D'Mello, from Christ The King Church, Karkal Town, served actively as a regional team member, contributing her skills and passion to the youth ministry. Evisha is the daughter of Edward and Vinitha Dmello.

The Diocese of Udupi extends its heartfelt gratitude to these leaders for their selfless service in youth ministry and wishes them all the best for their future endeavors.
