Puttur: Celebration of talents ‘Philo Forte-2024’ held at St Philomena College

Puttur, Apr 27: The students’ council at St Philomena College organized ‘Philo Forte-2024,’ a cultural extravaganza, at the silver jubilee hall on April 23. The event, aimed to extract the hidden talents among the students, was inaugurated by Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, the principal of the College. During his opening remarks, Dr Monteiro highlighted the importance of such platforms for budding artists, especially as a let – off from the usual academic pressures of exams and assignments. He commended the students’ council for their efforts in coordinating a diverse and enriching cultural program.

Vice-principals, Dr Krishna Kumar PS and Dr Vijaya Kumar M, along with office bearers of the students’ council, Bipin, Samruddhi Shenoy, and Raksha were present on the inaugural ceremoy.

The event began with a prayer by Prapti Rai and her team. Dr Chandrasekhar K, the student welfare officer, extended a warm welcome, and Jeslin D'Cunha proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Brinda BG of III BCA.

The cultural showcase featured a display of performances, including the classical dance form Bharata Natya, melodious vocal performances, and energetic western dances, all performed by talented students from the college.
