Dubai: Liwa Snehal Menda Wins Konkani Milan Kids Beauty Contest

Dubai, Oct 11: Konkani Milan-Konkani Moji Mai Bhas (Konkani is My Mother Tongue) organised a beauty contest for children recently.

Out of the 32 participants, Liwa Snehal Menda, daughter of Lancy and Shaila Menda, Taccode/Sampige won the first place with 354 votes, while the second place was bagged by Crystal D'Silva, daughter of Deepak and Roshni D'Silva, Paladka with 257 votes.

The third place winner, Reshal D'Souza, daughter of Robert and Anitha D'Souza, Shirva, gave tough competition and fell behind by just one vote, garnering 256 votes in all. Mark Martis, son of Stan Stany and Reshma Martis, Moodubelle, came fourth.

The programme was organised with the active participation of the association members Reckson Pinto Taccode, Anil Santhosh Bela, Rakesh Rebello Puttur, J J Shirthady, Wilson Fernandes, Shirthady and Sujith Fernandes Nellikaar.

Three months ago Konkani Milan-Konkani Moji Mai Bhas was created by Reckson Pinto Taccode on facebook. Today it consists of 11,000 members.

    now we days peopls losing deir interst in reading news papers...peopls givng more preference to net activities..its really hosm...and dis contest only for konkani speaking peopls....its showing d unity of konkani peopls...360 votes means its not easier to get....Reckson i unable to send mine kid snap to u....any how congrates all.....
