Kundapur, Apr 28: With a series of holidays including polling day, fourth Saturday, and Sunday, thousands of visitors, predominantly devotees, are making their way to various temples in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

On Saturday morning, a large number of devotees visited the Sautadka Sri Maha Ganapati temple in Dakshina Kannada and the Hattiangadi Ganapati temple in Udupi.

On April 27, Sankashtahara Chaturthi and Sahasranalikera Yaga were celebrated with devotion and grandeur at the Kumbashi Anegudde Vinayaka temple. Special cool drinks were provided to help devotees cope with the sweltering heat. Over 2000 devotees enjoyed Annaprasadam in the afternoon. Given that Saturday was a holiday, the number of devotees in other temples across the twin districts was higher than usual.
