Mangaluru: Engineering student ends life in hostel room

Mangaluru, May 8: A 20-year-old 2nd-year engineering student residing in the Backward Classes Government Hostel near Bibi Alabi Road, tragically ended his life in his hostel room on Wednesday, May 8, around 10:30 AM, by hanging.

The deceased has been identified as Nitesh Rao.

He hailed from Udupi District and had been studying in Mangaluru for the past two years.

He is survived by his mother and sister. His father passed away about five years ago.

A complaint was filed by his mother, leading to the registration of a case under UDR No 18/2024 at North PS. Investigations are underway.

    Very very sad .Poor Boy.Who knows what problem he had.May be studies were too much to him?Could consult or ask Parents to help him.These days too much drugs and what not is around.Young people die or suicide.Horrifying.I dont say this young man consumed drugs Many people sometimes try many things to comeout of their problems.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.May his soul rest in peace.
