Mangaluru: Blood donation camp held at PA First Grade College

Mangaluru, May 10: Youth Red Cross, National Service Scheme & IQAC of PA First Grade College (PAFGC), in association with Red Cross society blood bank, government Lady Goschen hospital organized a blood donation camp on May 7 in e-learning centre.

B Sachidanandan Rai, chairman, sub-committee, Indian Red Cross society, DK Branch has invited as the chief guest. Praveen Kumar, coordinator and counselor Indian Red Cross Society, DK Abbas Uchil, former sales and marketing manager, Eco Lab, KSA were the guests of honour. Presided by Surfraz J Hasim, principal, PAFGC, the programme witnessed the presence of Ramis MK, principal, PACE, Saleemulla Khan, principal, PACP, Sayyedn Ameen, dean (student affairs) & director, CMSR as the distinguished guests.

The formal function began with invoking the blessing of Almighty by Irfad from 2nd BCA. B Sachidanandan Rai, gave a talk on blood donation and congratulated PA First Grade College for the initiative taken. He also encouraged the students to take more participation in such activities and programmes. Surfraz J Hasim, PA First Grade College gave the presidential address.

IQAC coordinator, heads of various department, teaching and non-teaching staff were present in the programme. Hamad Basheer, YRC programme officer, Ithashree, NSS programme Officer, Chaitra NV, NSS programme officer were the coordinators of the programme. Shafna Sherin from 2nd BCA welcomed the gathering, while Ibrahim Arfan from 2nd BBA proposed vote of thanks. Salma Aifna from 2nd BCom compered the programme.

Around 167 donors from PAFGC and sister institutions voluntarily donated blood.
