Riyadh: Saudi King to Undergo Back Surgery

Riyadh, Oct 17 (IANS) Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was Sunday admitted to a hospital in Riyadh for a back surgery, Xinhua reported.

He was brought to King Abdulaziz Medical City to "undergo a surgery to re-tighten the binding connector around the third vertebra", the Saudi official SPA news agency said.

The 88-year-old king underwent an operation in the US last year after a blood clot complicated a slipped disc.
