Mangaluru, May 17: Dr Nareshchand Hegde, renowned heart specialist and independent candidate for Karnataka legislative council polls from the prestigious southwest teacher's constituency, met with ‘people’s doctor,’ Padma Vibhushan Dr Belle Monappa Hegde at his residence in Chilimbi Gudde. Dr Nareshchand sought the blessings of Dr B M Hegde who is a renowned cardiologist, Professor of Medicine, scientist, author and former vice chancellor of Manipal University.
Dr Nareshchand Hegde hopes to bring make a positive difference in the southwest teacher's constituency which has seen politicians without degrees elected, leaving serious educational issues unresolved. Dr Hegde aspires to cater to the expectations of the educated voters who are seeking an able leader from their ranks.
