Kundapur, Oct 18: In an accident which occurred near Movady bus stop in the taluk on Monday October 18, a motor bike rider lost his life.
The victim has been identified as Madhukar Mogaveera (19), resident of Anagodu near Trasi.
A car that was moving on national highway 66 hit Mogaveera's bike when he was negotiating his vehicle from the village road to national highway. Because of the impact of the collision, Madhukar was thrown to the ground and sustained grievous injuries.
Arrangements were made to take him to government hospital in Kundapur, but he breathed his last before medical assistance could be rendered.
Pillion rider, Ashish Shetty, also suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted into Manipal Hospital for treatment.
