Dubai, May 21: Kanara Entrepreneurs Ltd (KEL) Dubai hosted a highly successful members' event on Sunday, May 19 at the India Club. The event was part of their ongoing efforts to support and nurture their members in their professional and entrepreneurial endeavours.

KEL is a non-profit, mutual benefit corporation founded by individuals from the Kanara region. It aims to encourage, support, guide, and nurture entrepreneurship within the community in Dubai for over 20 years.

The highlight of the evening was an engaging session led by Walter Vieira on how customer value starvation can hinder both prevention and cure. He provided insights on keeping customers happy by understanding value terminology, value thinking by sharing his experiences across various industries.

The event focused on DNA (Do Not Annoy) factors and offered suggestions on how to minimize complaints, ensuring customer loyalty and long-term company profitability and success.

Walter Vieira, pioneered marketing consulting in India in 1975 when he founded Marketing Advisory Services. This venture followed a successful 14-year tenure in the corporate realm, where he began as a management trainee and culminated as the marketing head for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

Vieira boasts authorship of 16 books on management and marketing, a prolific career as a business journalist, and engagements as a visiting professor at esteemed business schools across Asia, the USA, and Europe. He has also graced world summits on marketing and consulting as a speaker and has served as the former chairman of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI). Presently, he spearheads various NGOs, including the Consumer Education and Research Society, among others

The event commenced with an introduction to KEL's objectives and guiding principles, presented to a captivated audience. Dorothy Fernandes, the president of KEL, extended a warm welcome to the attendees and urged members to embrace the spirit of curiosity and discovery of the wealth of knowledge and expertise available.

Chairman Ivan Fernandes introduced Desma D'Souza as KE Dubai launched a new initiative called "StartUp Launchpad: A Comprehensive Guide for Aspiring Entrepreneurs," an innovative course designed specifically for individuals eager to embark on the entrepreneurial journey.

Furthermore, three new members were formally inducted into KEL Dubai. William D'Souza, the immediate past president, administered the oath of office and bestowed membership certificates upon the newly inducted members. Ivan Fernandes expressed appreciation to Walter, acknowledging his valuable contribution to the event by presenting him with a token of gratitude on behalf of KEL.

William D'Souza delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants for their active involvement. 

The entire programme was seamlessly hosted by Venzil Fernandes, an active member of KEL, adding to the overall success of the event.
