Mangaluru, May 24: Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will arrive in city on May 25 and 26 and partake in the programme which will be held at T M A Pai convention hall on M G Road. There is a possibility of traffic congestion in the nearby areas. So all the medians  that begin from Navabharat Circle and go right up to Ladyhill Circle via PVS (Besant Junction, Kodialguthu Cross, Ballal Bagh Junction, Nehru Avenue Junction) will be blocked. So all vehicles taking this route have to take alternative routes as suggested.

Places where traffic congestion possibility is more in the city are Kottara Chowki, KUntikana, KPT, Nanthoor, KSRTC, Bunts Hostel, Dr Ambedkar Circle, Horticulture Junction, Balmatta, Hampankatte, Karavali Circle, Kankanady, Pumpwell and Thokkottu.

The following alternative arrangements are made for traffic in Mangaluru city:

*All vehicles moving towards Lady Hill Circle from Hampankatta via Bunts Hostel should go through Karangalpady or Bharath Beedi junction

*All vehicle drivers and riders using all adjoining roads that join M G Road from PVS Junction to Ladyhill Circle should use Bejai Church Road or Kudroli Road

Alternative bus routes specified:

*All city, express and KSRTC buses that ply through K S Rao Road, M G Road and Bunts Hostel should move through Hampankatta, Dr Ambedkar Circle, Balmatta, Horticulture Junction, Kadri Junction and Nanthoor

*All city, express and KSRTC buses that go to State Bank via Kottara Chowki should move through Nanthoor

*All KSRTC buses coming into and going out from the KSRTC bus stand should use Kuntikan Juinction on national highway

Places where vehicle parking is prohibited:

*From PVS junction to Lalbagh on M G Road, from PVS Junction to Bunts Hostel and from Lalbagh Junction to KPT Junction on both sides of the road.
