Mangaluru: Teenager from Bolar selected for Lifesaving World Championship in Australia

Mangaluru, May 28: A teenager from Bolar has been selected for the Lifesaving World Championship in Australia, scheduled for August 2024.

Mohammed Abdul Bashith (17) from Bolar completed his PUC from Yenepoya College, born to KM Zainuddin Munna and Shamshi Shaniyath.

At the tender age of 5, he learned to swim and began participating in competitions at 8 years old. He has also competed in national-level events.

Mohammed Abdul Bashith is one of the six participants from the district selected for the Lifesaving World Championship. Bashith participated in three events during the selection process.

Bashith was coached by Rajesh Bengre, with Rohit and Yashodha Bhandary serving as his lifesaving coaches.
