Mangaluru: Yenepoya (Deemed to be university) & High Commission of the Republic of Gambia sign MOU

Mangaluru, May 28: A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on Saturday, May 25, between the Yenepoya (Deemed to be university) and High Commission of the Republic of Gambia to foster international cooperation in education, patient care, research, and community empowerment.

This strategic collaboration encompasses a broad spectrum of disciplines in which both Gambia and Yenepoya have strong programmes of multi-lateral cooperation and interest.



The Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) has offered free scholarships to the students from Gambia to pursue their education here. The teaching hospital has offered low cost treatment facilities for the patients from Gambia

The MoU signing ceremony took place at 10 am following an interaction with the key individuals from the both sides. Mustapha Jawara High Commissioner of Gambia, Dr Vijaya kumar, vice-chancellor of Yenepoya Deemed to be university, Dr Gangadhara Somayaji, registrar of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) were part of the signing process.
