Bengaluru: Alliance Annual Alumni Meet 2024 held

Bengaluru, May 29: Alliance University held the Alliance Annual Alumni Meet 2024 at the Grand Magrath Hotel, Ashok Nagar. The event brought together alumni from various graduating classes, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and connection among former students of Alliance University.

The formal proceedings began with a welcome address by Surekha Shetty, registrar general of Alliance University. Following this, Tony Francis, president of the Alliance Alumni Association, and key university leaders, including Dr Priestly Shan Boaz, pro vice-chancellor for academic affairs; Dr Ray Titus, pro vice-chancellor for incubation and innovation and dean of the school of business; Dr Reeba Korah, dean of the college of engineering and design; and Dr V Shyam Kishore, dean of the school of law, delivered their addresses.

The event featured 'Beckoning the Alum Sprouts,' a special segment dedicated to celebrating the talent and brilliance of alumni's children. Following this, the 'Alliance Alumni Entrepreneur Showcase' featured alumni from entrepreneurial backgrounds presenting their ventures, sharing experiences, discussing challenges faced, and motivating others to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.

The alliance global awards 2024 received over 100 nominations, reflecting significant interest and competition. Among those recognised were Jaishikha Nautiyal, PhD, PGDM (2007–2009), for outstanding Achievements in academic or scholarly achievement; Prateeksha Kashi, MFA (2015–2017), for outstanding achievements in arts and performing arts; Sreejith Krishnan, PGDM (2002–2004), for outstanding achievement in the field of social justice and community service; Rohit Panda, PGP (2008–2010), for outstanding contribution to the alma mater; Mayur Bommai, BBA (2010–2013), as outstanding young entrepreneur; and Rahul Gosain, PGP (2006–2008), for outstanding professional achievement.

The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by Nivedita Vibhaw, vice president of the alliance alumni association, followed by an enchanting musical performance by the all-female band, the Kanya Band. The event offered a platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and inspiration, allowing attendees to connect with peers, learn from experts, and gain insights into emerging trends and opportunities.
