Mangaluru: Trisha College celebrates Annual Day

Mangaluru, May 31: “The future depends on what you do today. Your past is an experience, do not brood over it. Live in the present and enjoy every moment of life,” said Walter D’Souza Nandalike speaking on the Annual Day celebration of Trisha College of Commerce and Management and Trisha Evening College as the chief guest.

The programme was conducted at Don Bosco Hall on May 30.

The programme commenced with an invocation by Samhitha and her team, followed by a beautifully choreographed welcome dance. Prof Anusha T convenor of the programme welcomed the gathering. A significant highlight was the release of the college newsletter ‘Spoorthi’, a testament to the hard work and achievements of students and faculty. Prof Manjunatha Kamath M presented the annual report consisting of various activities conducted and achievements of the lecturers and students. Yashaswini Yashpal, the centre head of Trisha Classes provided a comprehensive overview of the achievements over the past year.

The college honoured its achievers across various fields, acknowledging their perseverance and excellence. In his address, the guest of honour and academic advisor of Trisha Group of Institutions, Dr Narayan Kayarkatte imparted valuable life lessons and wisdom. CA Gopala Krishna Bhat, the founder and CEO of Trisha Group of Institutions was the president of the programme. He advised the students to become entrepreneurs as ample opportunities await them in coastal Karnataka. Prof Suprabha M, the principal of Trisha Evening College was present on the dais. The formal programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Suhas M, president of the students' council.

The celebration continued with a vibrant cultural programme, featuring a dance drama of Dashavatara, music, Yakshagana and dances, showcasing the diverse talents of the students. The event was a resounding success, embodying the spirit of our college community and highlighting the achievements of faculty and the students.

The formal programme was compered by Meghana and Sohan Rao. The master of ceremony for the cultural programme were Samhitha K, Simon B S and Kathikeya B S.
