Udupi: Daijiworld Swara Sagara auditions receive good response from all over Karnataka

Udupi, Jun 1: The Daijiworld Swara Sagara, a ground-breaking singing reality show organized by Daijiworld Udupi under the banner of Kishoo Enterprises, recently concluded its audition round with a resounding success. The event, held at St Mary's English Medium School in Kannarpady, witnessed an overwhelming response from aspiring singers across Karnataka, showcasing the state's rich musical heritage.

The auditions commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony, graced by the presence of esteemed guests. Rayappa, commissioner of Udupi City Municipality, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp, while Fr Vijay D'Souza, principal of St Mary's English Medium School, unveiled the coveted golden medal to be awarded to the selected participants in the forthcoming rounds. Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld Media, released the title song of Daijiworld Swara Sagara, setting the stage for a melodious journey.


Addressing the gathering, Rayappa congratulated the organizers, judges, and participants, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship in such competitions. He encouraged the participants to give their best and urged the audience to embrace positive societal values. Fr Vijay D'Souza highlighted the school's long-standing tradition of nurturing student activities and expressed his joy in being part of this event during the school's Ruby Jubilee year. He underscored the power of music in uniting people beyond the boundaries of caste and community, and praised Udupi's rich legacy of producing renowned singers.

Yashwant, one of the esteemed judges of the reality show, extended a warm welcome to musicians from across Karnataka. He echoed the sentiment that music transcends religious boundaries and expressed his gratitude to Walter Nandalike for his unwavering support to artists and singers. Yashwant wished the participants the best of luck and encouraged parents to support their children's musical aspirations, quoting the wise words of Swami Vivekananda.

Walter Nandalike, founder Daijiworld Media, reminisced about the judges' efforts in entertaining audiences during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. He acknowledged the demand from Udupi residents to host the event locally and urged participants to respect the judges' decisions, citing the example of Nihal Tauro, who was once judged by Yashwant and has now made a mark on national television.

The event witnessed a floral welcome by Kishore Gonsalves, managing director of Kishoo Enterprises, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Pragathi Puthran, anchor of Daijiworld Udupi. Kevin Rodrigues, manager of Daijiworld Udupi, concluded the event on a high note, expressing optimism for the future of local talent in Udupi and Karnataka. The inaugural programme was masterfully compered by ace compere Alwyn Danthy.
Ace singers Yashwanth, Pallavi Prabhu and Dolphy Mascharenhas were the judges for the competition. Arun Havanje, Veekshith Kodancha and Vaman Kumar led the band.
The presence of Walter Nandalike, Kevin Rodrigues, staff members of the Daijiworld Udupi office, along with the enthusiastic participants and their supportive family members, added to the event's grandeur and success.

As the Daijiworld Swara Sagara moves forward, it promises to be a platform that not only celebrates the immense musical talent of Karnataka but also fosters a sense of unity and cultural pride. The event's resounding success in the audition round has set the stage for an exciting journey ahead, as the selected participants prepare to showcase their skills and compete for the coveted title.
