Sullia, Jun 1: A pickup truck got stuck in a rivulet on Thursday due to sudden heavy rains in the Subramanya and Kollamogru areas.

The incident occurred at Panne in Kollamogru village. Mahesh had loaded coconuts from the house of Ramakrishna, a resident of Kothnadka, onto his pickup truck. As he was crossing the rivulet, which had very little water at the time, heavy rains began and the water level rose suddenly, causing the vehicle to become trapped. Many coconuts in the pickup were washed away.

The pickup was on the verge of being swept away by the rising waters. Fortunately, some locals quickly tied a rope to the vehicle and pulled it out of the rivulet just in time.
