Mangaluru, June 1: Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament for Dakshina Kannada, admonished the Siddaramaiah-led government, alleging it of instigating unrest in Karnataka and fostering what he termed a "Gunda Raj."

Speaking to media persons on Saturday, April 1, Kateel highlighted the recent namaz controversy and demanded the withdrawal of charges against VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell, warning of dire consequences if the government failed to act swiftly.

"The Siddaramaiah's government has caused many problems from raising slogans of Pakistan Zindabad to disturbing the peace of Karnataka. The state Congress government has become Gunda Raj and if the case against VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell is not withdrawn then they will have to face dire consequences," he said.

Addressing the upcoming elections for graduates and teachers' constituencies, Kateel expressed confidence in BJP candidate Dhananjaya Sarji and NDA's Bhoje Gowda. Responding to queries about independent candidates, Kateel dismissed their significance, emphasizing public support for party-backed contenders.

On the issue of former rebel candidates within BJP ranks, Kateel defended their candidacy, citing their contributions and party seniors' decisions. When asked about his own future plans, Kateel reaffirmed his commitment to the party, expressing a lifelong dedication.
