Mangalore, Oct 20:
The three Akhila Bharatha Karmika Sangha leaders, who are on an indefinite hunger strike protesting the lack of facilities at ESI Hospital since Tuesday October 18, on Thursday October 20 resorted to ‘head tonsure’ as the  authorities concerned did not meet their demands.

General secretary Sudatta Jain, one of those who tonsured their heads, said that the hospital management and its director are least bothered about the labourers seeking medical care.

Others who resorted to head tonsuring were Raj Kulal, district chief secretary of Akhila Bharathiya Karmika Sangha, Nagesh Bantwal, district secretary of the Sangha, and a labourer Janardhan.

The agitators said that they are not going to end their hunger strike till justice is done.
