Kaup: Six arrested for suspected criminal activity, illegal possession of weapons

Kaup, Jun 2: Six individuals were arrested under Kaup police station limits for suspected serious criminal activity and illegal possession of weapons.

According to a complaint filed by Circle Inspector Jayashree Mane at Kaup police station, six persons traveling in a Scorpio were found suspicious near the Udyavar bridge while heading towards Mangaluru. The police signaled them to pull over by honking, but they refused and continued driving dangerously. The police, with the assistance of Abdul Khader, SI Kaup, and his team, chased and apprehended the vehicle in Kotalkatte, Uliyargoli.

Upon searching the vehicle, the police recovered a dagger, a sharp knife, a steel rod, and chili powder. The vehicle, along with the six individuals and the weapons, was seized by the Kaup police.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Amithraj, Prakash, Varun Kumar, Karthik, Abhishek, and Srikanth.

    Sometimes these people even keep pistols and guns while targeting senior citizens/womens who stay alone and depend mostly there livlihood by selling milk. For one's protection and cattles govt to give licence to hold revolvers in case of emergency which is essential the most.
