Kundapur: Rider killed on spot in KSRTC bus-bike collision

Kundapur, Jun 3: A bike rider was killed on the spot when his two-wheeler was hit by a KSRTC bus at Kota Circle on NH 66 late Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Vasudeva Ganiga (33), son of Kotatattu Kalmady Road Patri Manjunatha Ganiga.

Vasudeva was trying to cross the road near Kota Circle at midnight, after finishing his work at Tekkatte Sai Grand Hotel, when he was hit by a KSRTC bus traveling from Mangaluru to Sirsi. Due to the impact of the collision, Vasudeva sustained grievous injuries to his head and legs and died on the spot.

The mortal remains were shifted to the hospital by Nagaraja Puthran of Jeevan Mitra ambulance. The Kota police have registered a case.
