Tamil Nadu, Jun 4: Sashikanth Senthil, former deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada and Congress candidate, clinched victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However, former SP of Chikkamagaluru and Udupi and BJP Tamil Nadu State president Annamalai suffered defeat in the Coimbatore Constituency.
K Annamalai, the BJP state president, who had aspired to win the Lok Sabha elections, faced defeat against DMK candidate Ganapathi Raj Kumar by a margin of 17,366 votes.
In the Tiruvallur Constituency, Congress candidate Sashikant Senthil emerged as the frontrunner, securing a total of 239,426 votes, showcasing his strong performance. In the Tiruvallur seat of Tamil Nadu, INC's Sasikanth Senthil leads with 111,858 votes, while DMK's Nallatambi K trails with 35,688 votes.
