Mangalore: 'World Food Day' Celebrated at Carmel English School

Mangalore, Oct 21: 'World Food Day' was observed at Carmel English School, near State Bank, here. Officer in Charge of the Child and Women Development, Food and Nutrition of the government of India, Srinivas, gifted seven fruit saplings to the institution on this occasion. 

Cynthia Pais, teacher, highlighted the importance of growing nurtritive plants and how to take care of them. 

The saplings were planted by Sr Lydia Fernandes, AC, joint secretary of the institution, Sr Rosemarie, AC, vice-principal, Aruna Kamath, Margaret Rodrigues, teachers and a few students on the campus.

Other Staff members and students were present.
