Yadgiri: Car Plunges into Canal – Five Including Four of Family Perish

Yadgiri, Oct 22: After a car plunged into a canal of Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Ltd at Mudabola Cross near Shahapur on Friday, four persons belonging to the same family, and car driver, lost their lives.

Reportedly, all the deceased belonged to Kalermandi village in Venkatapur taluk of Medak district, Andhra Pradesh. The deceased have been identified as Rama Rao, Prakash Rao, Lalita and Jyoti, from the same family, in addition to car driver, Vittal Reddy.

The family was on a tour of various places in Karnataka. They were moving to Mysore, when the car plunged into the 50 feet-deep main canal by the side of the road. Error of judgment on the part of driver is thought to be the reason for the accident.

Policemen from Bheemarayanagudi police station and firemen of Jewargi fire brigade came on the spot and recovered the bodies.
