Bengaluru, Jun 6: As many as 11 candidates were elected unopposed in the biennial elections of the State Legislative Council, according to the results declared on Thursday, June 6.
As expected, former MLC from Congress Ivan D'Souza, sitting Science and Technology Minister from Congress N S Bosaraju, chief minister Siddaramaiah's son Dr Yatindra, Vasanth Kumar, K Govindaraj, Bilkis Bano, and Jagdev Guttedar have been elected.
Former ministers C T Ravi, Ravi Kumar N, Maruthi Rao Mule from BJP, and Javarayi Gowda from ally JDS were also elected to the upper house unopposed, as announced by the returning officer.
