Udupi, Jun 6: Siddarth (22), a suspected drug peddler, was apprehended by the Manipal Police on Wednesday, June 5, with drugs valued at Rs 20,000.
The raid, led by inspector Devaraj T V and sub-inspector Raghavendra C, along with ASIs Vivekananda and Shailesh Kumar, targeted an apartment in Herga village, Udupi taluk, following received information regarding drug activity.
During the operation, authorities seized drugs weighing 388 grams, valued at Rs 20,000, along with a mobile phone handset Rs 45,000.
It was revealed that the individual arrested had allegedly intended to sell the drugs to Manipal students for profit. The case has been filed with the Manipal police and is currently under investigation.
