Mangalore, Oct 22: 'Tiara 7.0', the technical fest of IEEE student branch of St Joseph Engg College Mangalore, held 'Xplore', a technical paper presentation event on Thursday October 20 at Vamanjoor, here.
The first and second place winners of the event were Raunak and Daniel from SJEC, while the third place was bagged by Sahana and Asha of VCET.
The first event on day 2, was trade off. The first and second places for this event too, was grabbed by SJEC. In the afternoon, three events were held simultaneously, Xtreme Programming, Tech Quiz and Circuit Hunt. PA college of enggineering won the first place in Xtreme Programming, followed by SJEC coming second. Vinith and Harsha from MITE bagged the first place in Tech quiz, while SJEC came in second. SJEC once again won both the first and second places in Circuit Hunt.
In addition to these, a few more entertaining events, such as ‘Smart Clicks’ and ‘Creative Corner’ were also held during the day.
The major crowd puller for the day, however, was the SJEC King and Queen, held in the evening. Neville Monterio and Melissa were announced as the SJEC King and Queen for the year 2011-12.
