Kasaragod, Jun 8: A tragic incident occurred near Naikapu, Kumbla, where a young man was found dead by hanging. The deceased is identified as Manjunath (24) from Naikapu.

On Friday night around 11:30 pm, Manjunath received a call on his mobile phone. He left the house to attend the call but did not return home despite the late hour. Despite several attempts to reach him by phone, his family was unable to contact him.

On Saturday morning, when his family began searching for him, they found Manjunath hanging from a tree a short distance away from their house.

The Kumble police conducted an investigation at the scene.

Manjunath was a young cricket player. The reason for taking this extreme step is not yet known. The police are currently investigating the matter.
