Mangaluru: Kindergarten welcome joyful start to year at Carmel School

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 12: The children of kindergarten at Carmel School received a formal welcome from the teachers in Mother Veronica Hall on June 10.

The celebration began with a prayer service led by Marina and her team, followed by a creative welcome from the teachers, who dressed in dark yellow sarees to represent a mother duck and her ducklings, with the word 'WELCOME' prominently displayed.

To warm up the kids, teachers Sharol and Nisha led an action song that had everyone moving and smiling. Shanthi introduced the principal and the administrator to the children. The principal addressed the children, asking if they came to school without crying, to which the keen response was 'Yes'. The principal then had the children repeat, "I am happy, I love my teachers," emphasizing the joy and love that should fill their school days.

To make the celebration sweeter, chocolates were distributed to them by the principal, who also taught them the importance of cleanliness by reminding them to put the wrappers in the dustbin.

Dr Sr Prem, the administrator, encouraged the tiny tots to repeat affirmations such as 'God loves me' and 'I am beautiful', fostering a positive and loving environment. The event was a delightful blend of warmth, creativity and enthusiasm, ensuring that the tiny tots felt welcomed and cherished as they began their educational journey.
