Mangalore: Parked Private Bus, Eight Batteries, Go Missing

Mangalore, Oct 24: It is reported that a private bus and eight batteries of four other buses parked near A J Hospital in Kuntikan in the city, were stolen on Saturday October 22 night.

Five buses belonging to Vrashabha Travels, being used to ferry Infosys employees between the city and Infosys district centre at Mudipu on contract basis, were being parked at the above spot since some time. The policemen have received a complaint that one of these buses bearing registration number KA 19 A 9799 and batteries of other four buses had been stolen by thieves.

The complainant, Ram Prasad Punja, estimated the worth of the stolen goods at Rs 6,75,000. The Kadri police, who registered the case, said that they have gathered reliable clues about the thieves.

    Dear Sir,
    It appears that the bus batteries are stolen from Kadri police limits regularly. Its rather strange. Cops have the clues but owner wont have batteries forever.
