Bhubaneswar, Oct 24 (IANS): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Monday said he did not rule out an alliance with the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Orissa in the 2014 general elections even though the two had ended their partnership in 2009.
"I am not ruling out anything. The relations between the two have (become) more tense...so naturally the state unit's view will be taken in to account," Advani told reporters at the district town headquarters of Sambalpur, about 320 km from here.
Responding to a question on why he was silent on the BJD-led Orissa government on corruption, the former deputy prime minister said the state unit of the party has been raising the issue and he has not stopped them from doing so.
The decade old alliance between the two parties had collapsed prior to the last general election of 2009.
Advani who arrived in Orissa Sunday as part of his ongoing anti-graft roadshow, Jan Chetna Yatra. He is scheduled to address several public meetings across the state Monday.
