Puttur, Jun 19: The department of science at St Philomena College organized a farewell event for the students of III BSc, ‘Lamhein,’ on June 15, at the SJM Hall of the college.
Dr Malini K, dean of the science department and IQAC coordinator of the college, graced the occasion. Outgoing students Nada I A and Shravya R S shared their experiences and reflections, while junior student Maliha offered her opinions on the outgoing students.
They expressed their gratitude for the unforgettable experiences at the college and thanked the lecturers who supported them throughout the past three years.
Principal Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his presidential address, emphasized the importance of multitasking and resilience in overcoming life’s challenges. He encouraged the students to pursue their goals and uphold the esteemed reputation of the institution. He also spoke on the key role students play in the vibrancy and success of an institution, urging them to excel in their chosen fields.
Vice principal of the college, Dr Vijay Kumar Moleyar, and Dr Chandrashekar K, class academic advisor of III BSc, were also present on the dais.
The formal programme commenced with a prayer rendered by Ashritha and team. Ayesha Shama welcomed and Fathima Safa proposed a vote of thanks. Fathima Afra compered.
The day featured cultural programs performed by both outgoing and junior students, along with fun games organized for the outgoing students, making 'Lamhein' a memorable and meaningful farewell celebration.
