Mangaluru: St Theresa's School celebrates International Yoga Day

Mangaluru, Jun 21: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the students of St Theresa's School celebrated the occasion with great vigor and enthusiasm. The session began by invoking God's blessings with a yoga prayer. The students then demonstrated various asanas. Kavita Ashok, an Indian Book Record Holder, trained the students for the event.

Presha S Alva, the head girl of the primary section, spoke about the benefits of practicing yoga. The school principal, Sr Lourdes, vice principal Sr Reena D'Souza, the coordinator for the primary section, Olivia D'Souza, the PT instructor, Anita D'Souza, and other faculty members attended the programme.

The principal encouraged the students and praised them for their incredible performance. She emphasized the importance of yoga for achieving a healthy lifestyle and mindfulness, and thanked Kavita Ashok for her efforts in training the students. The yoga session was both fruitful and meaningful.
