Mangaluru: International Yoga Day observed at Holy Redeemer English Medium School

Mangaluru, Jun 21: Tenth International Yoga Day was observed in Holy Redeemer English Medium School on June 21 in the school auditorium.
 
Alriya D'Souza welcomed the gathering and narrated the significance of the day. Headmaster Fr Clifford Simon Pinto encouraged the students to do yoga every day and adopt it as a part of life to stay healthy, become flexible and mentally stable.
 






























 
Preetha D'Souza conducted the yoga session in a solemn way. The session began with meditation, followed by pranayama.
 
Class 10 students performed various asanas and their benefits were explained simultaneously. The session ended with Shavasana, an asana that gives rest to the physically strained body.
 
All students actively took part and understood the need of yoga in daily life to stay fit and healthy.
