Mangaluru: Dacoits attack PWD contractor's house; loot cash, gold

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jun 22: A brazen dacoity occurred at the residence of Shri Padnabham Kotian, a public works department (PWD) contractor, in the Ullayabettu area within Mangaluru rural limits late in the evening on Friday June 21. The incident took place between 7:45 and 8:10 PM, when a group of 8 to 9 masked assailants forced their way into the house.

The intruders, all clad in shirts and pants, threatened the family members with knives, demanding cash. They tied up the family using bedsheets and ransacked the house in search of valuables. The robbers made off with whatever cash and gold they could find. In addition to the stolen goods, the dacoits also took the family’s vehicle, which was later found abandoned a short distance from the residence.

During the incident, Padnabham Kotian sustained an injury to his right hand after being attacked with a knife. He was immediately rushed to KMC Hospital in the city for treatment.

It looks suspicious. These Dacoits were informed well.He didnt have any cameras around?OR trying to tell they looted him? When so many of them came to them at evening ,must be a" arranged "looters?Something looks fishy in this case not normal.Only to cash some insurance ?He never mentioned what and how much loss he had?

The contractor thought that he was the only dacoit, he never thought that someone someday will loot him. Tit for tat.

@Joseph; most of "our own people" don't have the wherewithal or guts to post their unbiased (or whatever) views, forget posting sensible and rational replies; but they do make it a point to click the disagree button; as you said they get self satisfaction or perhaps a sense of perverted achivement by trolling someone and doing this timepass activity from their air-conditioned mansions; however, I love 😘 them with all my heart and soul😜☺️🙏

You know what is the funniest part, if he is a corrupt officer, he will not be in a position to declare what actual amount of asset he lost.

This looks like a well planned & daring burglary seeing the posh house, cars, owner's profession etc etc! Joblessesness and resultant frustration even among the highly educated is on the rise; added to that uncontrolled inflation and rampant corruption in all sectors and ever increasing digital cheating! Better not do public display of vulgar wealth and opulence, instead enjoy the riches in private safely and securely!! Please note that this is a very personal and generic opinion!!

Alas, which era are we in? Even an opinion is disliked by the LEARNED general public or the person clicking the disagree button seems to have derived pleasure.
