Mangaluru: Investiture ceremony held at Holy Redeemer English Medium School

Mangaluru, Jun 23: The most significant event of investiture of the school cabinet was held at Holy Redeemer English Medium School on June 22 in the auditorium.

Headmaster Fr Clifford Simon Pinto escorted the correspondent Fr Walter D'Mello and the chief guest Arjun, police sub-inspector of Belthangady Taluk.

The newly elected school cabinet members, in a solemn procession, with a lighted candle in hand, entered the event.

The programme began with a prayer song by the school choir members. The dignitaries lit the lamp symbolising cabinet inauguration. Anitha cordially welcomed the gathering.

An awe inspiring moment of putting sashes and badging the leaders highlighted the event. Chief guest put the sashes and correspondent pinned the badges to the leaders to signify the responsibility, and headmaster gave the lit candles to signify walking on the path of true leadership.

Later, the cabinet members took an oath to abide by the position they hold. Preetha D'Souza offered a prayer for the leaders and the school choir invoked to shower god's blessings on them with a hymn.

Renita Lasrado orated the significance of school squad and introduced the squad leaders, who marched forward proudly with their squad flags.

Chief guest Arjun, in his address, spoke about the basic qualities a leader should have and had an interaction with the cabinet members. Headmaster, in brief, told about the responsibilities and encouraged others to take up leadership.

Correspondent wished well to all the cabinet members and blessed them.

Elvita Pais proposed a vote of thanks. Vidya compered the programme. The investiture ceremony concluded by singing the school anthem.
