Mangaluru: Green & Rainy-Day celebrations at Ladyhill English preparatory School

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 23: Green Day and Rainy Day were celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Ladyhill English preparatory School on June 21. The play home, LKG, UKG and teachers came to school dressed in green attire, looking eco-friendly.

The celebration was inaugurated by Sr Violet Tauro, superior of Ladyhill Convent and joint secretary of Ladyhill Institutions, principal Sr Jenifer Moras, vice principal Sr Ivy Moras, along with tiny tots Laasya and Aadhya.

The classrooms were beautifully decorated in a green and blue theme, with all the green and blue objects from a child’s immediate surroundings brought into the classrooms. Additionally, the classrooms were adorned with flashcards, balloons, and various green and blue objects.

Students were taught the identification and recognition of green fruits, vegetables, leaves and trees. Many recreational activities such as action songs and dances related to green and blue colours were organised.

The shades of green and blue filled the air with freshness, thrill, ecstasy, and bliss. They also prompted them to think about how the colours green and blue energize and revitalize lives. It was indeed an invigorating, reviving and rejuvenating experience!

To mark this day, students were taken to the school garden and taught about nature. The students were thrilled and returned home with joyful memories.
