Dubai, Oct 26: The much awaited and most exciting 7 a side cricket tournament for teams comprising Karnataka players in the U.A.E. is all set to take place on Oct.28th (Friday) at the Zabeel Park Cricket Ground (Entry from Gate No.6) from 7 a.m. onwards.
The non -stop day long action starts with the first match between Kodagu Dakshina Kannada Gowda Samaj facing Amchigele UAE Samaj which will be followed by Sakath Thottam playing Devine Sankerpura. The third match will be played between Espa Suratkal and Coastal Challengers. Each and every match is expected to be nail biting with the limited overs format in play.
The response for the tournament has been tremendous and organizer Denzil Fernandes says that all the teams taking part have good cricketers. There are 18 teams taking part and the final is expected to take place around 3.30 p.m. The winning teams will be given handsome trophies and prize money as well. The winners will be receive the S.P.P.E. trophy. There is also the runner up trophy and man of the match trophies for the final and semi finals.
It is going to be an exciting family cricket carnival with plenty of supporters of all the teams already making plans to be at the ground in a picnic like atmosphere. Other teams taking part include Padmashali, Eleven on top, GBMT Friends, MCBC, Super 7 Karwar, Karnataka Cricketers, Little Flower, Belle Bros., Mogaveers UAE, Savinay Friends, Namma Tuluver and Friends Cricketers, Dubai.
The opportunity provided by the organizers for the Karnataka cricketers gives a chance to exhibit their talent in the U.A.E. Cricketers from all walks of life will now get together and get to play their favourite game while keeping themselves fit also.
