The event, meticulously organized to welcome their esteemed parish priest, Fr Sunil D'Silva, blossomed into a celebration of unity and purpose.

On June 23 at Dubai, the warm ambiance of Winnys Restaurant in Karama set the stage for what would become a landmark gathering. Christopher Fernandes, the visionary behind the event, orchestrated an affair that seamlessly blended fellowship with forward-thinking initiatives.

As the clock struck the appointed hour, 75 parishioners filed into the venue, their faces alight with anticipation. The air buzzed with excited chatter as old friends reconnected and new acquaintances were forged. Riya Lewis, assuming the role of Master of Ceremony with grace and poise, took to the podium to commence the proceedings.

In a touching gesture that set the tone for the evening, Steven Picardo presented Fr Sunil with a resplendent bouquet flowers and thoughtful gifts, symbolizing the community's warm welcome and deep respect for their spiritual leader. Fr Sunil, visibly moved by the gesture, expressed his gratitude and shared his vision for the community's future.

With the foundation laid, attention turned to the selection of office bearers who would guide this fledgling organization through its crucial first year. After careful deliberation, a diverse and capable team was chosen to lead "Ami Sasthanghar " for the 2024-25 term:

Christopher Fernandes, the driving force behind the evening's gathering, was unanimously elected as President. Ranjitha Lewis stepped into the role of Vice President, bringing her unique perspective to the leadership team. The articulate Riya Lewis, who had so ably managed the event, was the natural choice for Secretary. Zeena Pinto, known for her financial acumen, took on the responsibility of Treasurer. Frew Menezes, with his talent for organization, was appointed Event Coordinator.

Recognizing the need for experienced guidance, a council of advisors was also established, comprising Terence Lewis, Stephen Rodrigues, Prashanth Lewis, and Chester Dsouza. Their collective wisdom would prove invaluable in steering the association through its formative stages.
