Doha (Qatar), Jun 27: Tulukoota Qatar, an active associate organization of the Indian Cultural Centre under the aegis of the Indian Embassy, held its annual general meeting and selected its new managing committee for 2024-26 at the ICC Hall.

The event commenced with a welcome address by the outgoing president, Kiran Anand, who highlighted Tulukoota's achievements. He expressed satisfaction upon completing his tenure and thanked all his managing committee members who worked tirelessly for the growth of Tulukoota Qatar, along with the support of selfless volunteers, sponsors, and well-wishers of TKQ. He also honoured the management committee members:

VP - Chaitali Shetty, GS -  Sagar Kotian, Treasurer - Shirva Uday Shetty, Cultural Secretary - Sandhyalakshmi Rai, membership and PR - Dhanlakshmi Rai, Joint Secretary - Sudhir Shetty, Joint Cultural Secretary - Supriya Bhat, Logistics Responsible - Manjappa Karigar, Sports Secretary - Ashwin K, Joint Sports Secretary - Imran K.

General Secretary Sagar Kotian provided an overview of the organisation's activities over the past two years, while treasurer Udaya Kumar Shetty Shirva presented the financial report.

The meeting witnessed the dissolution of the current committee by the patron and former president Moodambail Ravi Shetty, who then oversaw the formation of the new committee. Sandesh Anand, a distinguished and dynamic leader with extensive experience in various associations, was unanimously elected as the new president.

Expressing his gratitude, the newly appointed president Sandesh Anand said, "It is a matter of great pride for me and my committee to have the opportunity to serve during the silver jubilee celebrations of Tulukoota. Our team will continue to uphold Tulukoota's glory by adhering to its mission objectives.

The meeting also included the unveiling of the new silver jubilee logo and the TKQ theme song in the presence of all members.

The immediate past president and chairman of the advisory committee, Kiran Anand, along with advisory committee members Moodambail Ravi Shetty, Chaithali Uday Shetty, Asmat Ali, and Ramachandra Shetty were present at the AGM. Apex body MC members, who are TKQ members including VP of ICC Subramanya Hebbagilu, VP of ICBF Deepak Shetty, ICC past president Milan Arun, founder members of Tulukoota, and hundreds of other members congratulated the previous committee and extended their best wishes to the new committee.

The programme was hosted by Supriya Bhat, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Sudhir Shetty.
