Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi

New Delhi, Jul 1: Oil marketing companies have announced a reduction in the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 30 per cylinder, effective from July 1. In Delhi, the revised price is now Rs 1,646, down from Rs 1,676 previously. Similarly, in Mumbai, the price stands at Rs 1,598, and in Kolkata, it is Rs 1,756. After the adjustment, the price in Kolkata is Rs 1,809.50.

This reduction follows a series of cuts in recent months. On June 1, the price was reduced by Rs 69.50 in Delhi, while on May 1, it saw a decrease of Rs 19 per cylinder.

The fluctuation in LPG prices reflects market dynamics influenced by international oil prices, taxation policies, and supply-demand factors. Though the specific reasons for the latest decrease were not detailed, it underscores the responsiveness of oil companies to economic conditions.

The price reduction is significant for businesses, especially in the food and hospitality sectors heavily reliant on commercial LPG. Lower costs could help manage operational expenses and potentially benefit consumers as well.
