Mangaluru: BJP leader Satish Prabhu criticizes Rahul Gandhi's 'Hindu' remarks in LS

Mangaluru, Jul 2: BJP leader Satish Prabhu strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi's recent statements in Parliament at a press meet held on Tuesday, July 2, at the BJP office in PVS.

Addressing the media, Prabhu said, "The BJP strongly condemns Rahul Gandhi's speech in Parliament yesterday. His statement that 'those who claim to be Hindus are the ones who create violence, lies, and hatred in the country' has hurt the sentiments of Hindus nationwide. It is not right to equate any community with violence and hatred. Portraying Hindus negatively for political gain shows his immaturity. Such remarks from the respected position in Parliament are a disservice and disrespect to both the Parliament and the office he holds."

"Furthermore, the display of images of Hindu gods in Parliament hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. It is ironic that the leaders of the Congress, who made numerous significant amendments to the Constitution in the past, misused government machinery, deprived the people of freedom of expression and press, enforced Emergency, and tortured opponents, are now talking about the Constitution. The BJP demands an immediate apology to the Hindus of the country," he added.
