Udupi, Jul 4: District In-charge minister Laxmi Hebbalkar sought information on destruction caused by rain in some parts of the district and instructed to take corrective action.
The minister, who is in Bengaluru, spoke to concerned officials of the district through telephone before proceeding to cabinet meeting. She gathered information of destruction at some places of the district including Amasebail due to rain and high velocity winds.
The minister asked the officials to visit the spot, inspect and submit report and arrange compensation. In addition, she also asked the officials to alert public about precautions to be taken during monsoon season.
